Welcome to my Webpage
I am a Postdoctoral researcher at Nanoscience Institute - National Research Council of Italy (CNR - NANO), Pisa, Italy & Editor at #NewWaveParticle.
My research interest is in design and fabrication of different nano structures and electrodes using the GLAD technique for the application of light trapping, gas sensing/ nano nose, SERS substrate, multifunctional coating and magnetic memory devices. Glancing Angle Deposition (GLAD) is a PVD technique which uses both top-down and bottom-up approach in a single go. The heart of this technique is to control substrate tilt angle and substrate rotation simultaneously and hence to give the flexibility to nurture the structure. The resultant structures coming out of this technique are usually porous, graded, anisotropic, and have a high surface to volume ratio. Further, for desired properties to incorporate the structure into an application, we do pre-deposition and post-deposition treatment using lithography, reactive ion etching, annealing, etc.
Research Interest
Currently, I am working on the fabrication and magneto-transport characterization of the quantum devices such as Josephson Junctions and superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) using 2D InSb nanoflags.
In the past, I have worked on growth of the nanostructures employing glancing angle deposition (GLAD) for various applications including self-cleaning surfaces, structural colours, gas sensors, and surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates.
Besides, I used COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate the implementation of perforated monolayer graphene to enhance the switching speed of the vertical organic field effect transistors (VOFETs).
